  16. Take 1 cup Thick Unsour Curd

Instructions to make Easy Chicken Biryani:
  1. Wash and Soak the basmati rice for 30 min, drain excess water and set aside.
  2. In a pressure cooker heat oil and ghee, Fry cashews and raisins until golden brown. Drain them and keep it aside.
  3. Add all the whole spices and allow it to splutter
  4. Add in the onion, green chilli and saute over a low heat until onions turn brown
  5. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
  6. Add in tomatoes, spice powders, coriander leaves and mint leaves. Mix well.
  7. Add in curd and mix well. Add in the chicken pieces and saute for 10 mins till the chicken is well coated in the masala.
  8. Add in Basmati rice and combine well. Pour 3 cups of water and season with salt and mix well. Add Kewra essence
  9. Now bring this mixture to a boil and reduce the flame, cover the pressure cooker and cook for 1 whistle, simmer and cook for 15 mins. Switch off and let the steam release by itself.
  10. Once cooked, open the pressure cooker and fluff it with a fork. Add lemon juice and mix well
  11. Serve hot with raita
