The ingredients needed to cook Tuvar Kachori:
- You need 250 gms tuvar beans (fresh)
- Provide 3 cups maida
- Get 1 cup wheat flour
- Provide 2-3 green chillies chopped
- You need 9-10 cashews
- Take 50 gms raisins
- Take 1/2 cup green garlic finely chopped
- Get 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut
- Get Handful coriander leaves
- You need 1 Juice of lemon
- Prepare 1 tsp Jeera /ajwain
- Provide 1 tsp hing powder
- Prepare 2 tbsp sugar
- Provide to taste Salt
- Take 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Provide As required Oil for frying
- Provide As required Water for kneading dough
- Prepare 1/2 tsp soda bi-carb/baking soda
Instructions to make Tuvar Kachori:
- Combine flour 2-3 tbsn oil soda & salt. Mix well. Add water & knead a smooth dough. Cover and keep aside
- Heat oil. Add zeera ajwain let it slputter. Add chillies, green garlic, cashews & cook for a while. Add crushed tuvar beans & cook for few minutes. Add salt, garam masala powder, sugar, lemon juice, raisins. Cook for few minutes. Remove from heat & let the mixture cool down.
- Knead the dough & roll out like a log. Cut into equal lemon size ball portions. Roll out a small disc on a flat surface. Add a spoonful of prepared tuvar mixture. Bring all the edges together & seal like a potli. Repeat same process for remaining dough & mixture.
- Heat oil in a kadhai & deep fry on medium heat until golden & crisp.
