  5. In a pan add oil. Add asafoetida and stir fry Brinjals in it. Add potatoes and stir it for a while.
  6. Now add the remaining masala to it and let it cook on slow flame for 4-5 minutes.
  7. Add 1/2 cup of water to it and cook it on slow medium flame until cooked.
