- Get 1 mango(medium sized)
- Use 1 1/2 cup water
- You need To taste salt
- Get 1/2 cup sugar
- You need 2 tbsp grated coconut
- Get 1 tbsp oil
- Get 1 tsp panch phoron
- Provide 2-3 dry chillies
- Use 3-4 garlic cloves crushed
- Take 1 sprig curry leaves
- Use 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Use 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Prepare 1 pinch asafoetida (hing)

- Take the mango and cut into cubes. Wash them well.
- Take water in a pan. Add the mango cubes, pinch of turmeric powder and salt. Boil them for 7-8 minutes or till the mango becomes little soft.
- Add sugar and cook for another 2 minutes. Next add red chilli powder, mix well and cook for a minute. Remove from the flame and keep aside.
- Heat oil in another pan. Add panch phoron, dry chiilli, garlic and curry leaves. Saute for few seconds. Next add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, hing and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add the mango mix and cook on a low flame for 5-6 minutes till the consistency becomes thicker.
- Add grated coconut, mix well and cook for a minute.
- Finally add roasted cumin powder and turn off the flame.
